French - Bienvenue à la classe de Français 2022-23!
- Lecture (Reading):
- Daily reading for 5-7 minutes. French books can be borrowed from Mme Fortin's classroom library as well as from St. Dominic's Learning Commons.
- Students also have the opportunity to purchase grade level French books through our class Scholastics program. Stay tuned for more info!
- Écriture (Writing):
- Students will be writing in French in their JOURNALS every Monday. A topic will be given to them, we will then brainstorm ideas and they will follow the writing process to complete their journal entries. Written instructions can be found in the first few pages of their journals. Journal entries are always completed in class.
- Billets de Français (Speaking):
- French 'tickets' have been given to students. Please ask your child about this cool class routine that encourages students to speak in French in class.
- Feuilles de devoir (Homework sheets):
- Homework Sheets will start on Wednesday September 14, 2022 and will be given on paper copies every Wednesday. They will also be placed in the Hapara Workspace titled <Les Devoirs de Français>, accessible from the Student Portal.
- Homework is to be completed on paper copies. However, if a student is absent, he/she can access the work in Hapara Workspace and complete it online.
- All work is to be completed by the following Wednesday.
- Dictée is every Wednesday.
